The June Care Company
Childcare for families, by families
June Care is a seed stage Silicon Valley startup connecting families who need childcare with stay-at-home parents who can host. The app now supports thousands of families in finding safe, flexible, high quality care in minutes, or offers parents the chance to earn income while caring for their own kids.
The Challenge
Childcare is one of the toughest puzzles for modern families. It is hard to find, often expensive, and rarely flexible. June Care needed our help to build a platform that parents could trust and that was simple to use, all while keeping pace with the fast changing demands of an early stage startup. They had to create trust immediately, reassure parents about safety, and fit seamlessly into the lives of multitasking families.

Designing the CareShare Market
We worked with June Care’s leadership team across Growth, Marketing, Product, Tech, and Customer Success to design a platform that makes connection effortless. Personalized matching by location, family preferences, and parenting style, paired with in-app chat, video, and instant booking, created a smoother experience for families and hosts alike.

Testing, Iterating, Solving
Through usability testing we learned that parents were ready to book the moment they trusted a match. That insight drove a key feature, connection requests, which gave families a direct way to show interest in a host without waiting. This change led to meaningful family to host matches and a significant increase in bookings.

The Impact
By streamlining onboarding and introducing intuitive booking flows, we helped June Care transform an idea into a thriving community platform. Families now find care faster, hosts earn more consistently, and the company continues to scale with confidence.

What They’re Saying
“Connection Requests was a huge feature. It’s our top performing funnel for bookings. Families say again and again that the app is easy to use, and many find care within minutes from someone in their neighborhood.”
